Job Description
QubitOwl is seeking a high-energy Sales Development Representative to join our founding sales team. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with basic SaaS sales experience who wants to learn directly from proven entrepreneurs (2x successful exits) while building the sales foundation of a cutting-edge cybersecurity startup.
You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our CEO to develop and refine lead generation strategies, qualify enterprise prospects, and advance opportunities through our sales pipeline. This is not a typical SDR role—you'll have direct influence on sales processes, messaging, and go-to-market strategy in the rapidly emerging PQC space.
You'll be communicating with CISOs, security architects, and compliance leaders at Fortune 1000 companies about quantum threats and cryptographic readiness. We need someone with an outgoing personality, relentless work ethic, and genuine hunger for success.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Generation & Prospecting
Prospect into target enterprise accounts using email, LinkedIn, and phone to generate initial interest in the QubitOwl CADI platform
Research companies and key personas (CISOs, security architects, compliance leaders) to personalize outreach and align messaging to ICP
Build and execute multi-touch outbound sequences/cadences in the sales engagement tool targeting Fortune 1000 accounts
Nurture not-yet-ready prospects through light-touch check-ins, content sharing, and trigger-based outreach tied to quantum computing news and compliance deadlines
Qualification & Meeting Setting
Qualify inbound and outbound leads against agreed criteria including firmographic fit, tech stack, pain, authority, timing, and budget
Set and confirm discovery meetings or demos for Account Executives, ensuring prospects are prepared and expectations are clearly set
Follow up on inbound leads from web forms, events, and content downloads quickly and professionally in partnership with Marketing
Collaboration & Feedback Loop
Partner with AEs on account plans, target lists, and talk tracks; hand off qualified opportunities smoothly to minimize prospect friction
Relay feedback from prospect conversations back to Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership—objections, feature requests, and message-market resonance insights are gold at this stage
Contribute to refining outbound messaging and go-to-market strategy alongside the CEO and founding team
Domain & Product Knowledge
Develop working knowledge of cryptographic asset discovery, post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST PQC standards, CMMC, FedRAMP) to hold credible first-line conversations
Tailor outreach by persona and segment—messaging to a CISO differs significantly from a security engineer or compliance officer
Stay current on quantum computing developments, emerging PQC mandates, and competitive landscape to provide timely, contextual outreach
Required Qualifications
1–3 years of SDR, BDR, or inside sales experience in a SaaS or technology company
Demonstrated ability to conduct high-volume, personalized outbound prospecting across email, phone, and LinkedIn
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging senior security and IT executives
Coachable, data-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment
Nice to Have
Familiarity with CRM tools and sales engagement platforms
Curiosity and aptitude for technical subject matter—cybersecurity or cryptography background is a plus, not a requirement
Outgoing personality, relentless work ethic, and genuine hunger to grow into an Account Executive or sales leadership role
